Back in January a local musician named Giorgio Fareira struck gold – and made a Sonic employee’s day – by singing his order at the Wallingford Sonic. It was recorded by a friend in the car with him and the rest is history. Take a minute to watch the video, it’s priceless:
Anyway, it’s just been announced that Giorgio will be coming back to the scene of his musical triumph for an hour-long acoustic set on Saturday, August 18th from 4:30PM to 5:30PM. Prior to his Wallingford appearance, he’ll be at the Manchester Sonic for another hour’s worth of acoustic tunes from 2PM to 3PM. Both venues promise to be packed, so if you want to catch one of the shows it might be a good idea to get there early and get something to munch on while you listen!
Giorgio is not just some guy who happened to bring a guitar to Sonic for kicks either, he happens to have his own band, The Interstate Life, with friends Tim Bittar and Steve Khan. Check them out on their Facebook page, or their web site.
