Wallingford CT 2012 – 2013 Public School Calendar

2012 Wallingford CT Public School CalendarParents everywhere are looking at their calendars in shock, mumbling to themselves, “Where did the Summer go?”, but the bright spot in the passage of Summer is the start of yet another school year! Wallingford schools are already gearing up for their first day of school, so let’s get right to the meat of it, shall we?

Here is a listing of important dates in the Wallingford Public schools for the 2012-13 school year:

August 29: Convocation for teachers

August 30 & 31: In service days for teachers

September 3: School closed for Labor Day

September 4:  First day of school

October 8: School closed for Columbus Day

November 5 & 6: In service days for teachers, school closed

November 12: School closed for Veteran’s Day

November 21: Shortened day

November 22 & 23: School closed for Thanksgiving holiday

December 24 – January 1: Christmas Break

January 2: In service day for teachers, school closed

January 21: School closed for Martin Luther King Jr. Day

February 14 & 15: Winter Break (The 14th is a shortened day)

February 18: School closed for President’s Day

March 29: School closed for Good Friday

April 15 – 19: Spring Break

May 24: In service day for teachers, school closed

May 27: School closed for Memorial Day

June 19: Last day of school, shortened day

The first seven days lost due to weather (snow days) will be made up at the end of the year. Any days beyond that will be made up at the end of April vacation period.
