If you’re a child of the 70’s and look back on the music of that era with fondness, there’s a show coming up at the Oakdale Theater in Wallingford that’s right up your alley! Tickets are now on sale for the Jim Brickman Celebration of the 70’s Show, coming up on March 2nd at 7:30PM.
Pianist-songwriter Jim Brickman has been named the most charted male contemporary artist to date, with six of his albums achieving either Gold or Platinum status. He’s well-known for his collaborations with vocal artists such as Lady Antebellum, Michael W. Smith, Martina McBride, and Olivia Newton-John, and in this show he’ll team up with some of the biggest names of the 1970’s:
In addition, I hear that this show will be filmed for Xfinity On Demand so you could be a part of the show if you can get in front of one of those cameras!
Tickets range from $38.50 to $83.50 prior to taxes, and there is also a ticket available for $158.00 that gets you a chance to chill out in the Flip Side Lounge. This pre-show hangout will be a “happenin’ place” with 70’s snacks, drinks, plus an exclusive meet ‘n greet with Jim Brickman and his musical guests.
So put on your bell bottoms, platform shoes and love beads, this promises to be a great show! (OK, forget the bell bottoms, platforms and beads…) Now check out this video of Jim Brickman and Olivia Newton-John doing “My Valentine”…
