Thanksgiving will soon come and go, leaving in its wake the obligatory 100 pounds of leftovers, bulging waistlines, and a run on Pepto-Bismol® at the local grocery store. But the holiday season has just begun, and Christmas is fast approaching. Do you have your tree up yet?
Christmas trees are a touchy subject. Many favor the convenience and cost savings offered by artificial trees, even some whose families were raised on real trees. But many purists still swear by the live fir tree in the living room, reveling in its more natural look and feel and the pine scent wafting through the air. If you’re one of the latter group, here’s some good news for you: Connecticut has a bunch of Christmas tree farms where you can go to either pick out a tree cut by them, or you can really return to nature and go out and choose and cut down your own tree.
No matter where you are, there’s probably several Christmas tree farms close by. You can click the markers on the interactive map below to get more information about the farm nearest you. Why not make it a day trip, take the kids out and let them pick out the perfect tree to set up by the fireplace? Also, check out the helpful links about Christmas trees below the map.

I think fresh Christmas tree are really a great decoration. It is more like a traditional way and a more exciting way, it is because you will be able to choose your own tree. I like the idea also that you have to put a lot of effort to be able to get your own holiday tree and be able to decorate it.
