Happy 4th of July

The Fourth of July holiday is upon us, so we are pleased to provide this list of upcoming public fireworks around the state. All dates and time are as accurate as possible; for further information or confirmation of dates and times, please contact the appropriate city or town government:

July 1 (Tuesday)

Vernon: fireworks at 9:40 p.m. at Henry Park (rain date July 2)

Meriden — Hubbard Park 9:00 p.m. (Rain Date July 3)

July 3 (Thursday)

Danbury — Danbury Fair Mall at dusk. (Rain Date July 5)
Dayville / Killingly — Owen Bell Park (Part of Red, White & Blue BBQ)
Derby — Along the Housatonic River. (Rain date July 5)
Killingly – Red, White and Blue BBQ at Owen Bell Park. Fireworks at 9:15 p.m.
Middletown — Festival begins at 6:30, fireworks at 9:30.
Naugatuck – Old Firehouse Road, downtown Naugatuck. Festivities begin at 6, Fireworks at 9:15 p.m. (Rain Date July 5)
Norwalk — Calf Pasture Beach In East Norwalk. Festivities start @ 5:30 p.m. (Rain Date July 5)
Shelton — Riverwalk/Veterans Park (Rain date July 5). Music at 7, fireworks at dark.
Simsbury — Talcott Mountain Music Festival (Rain date July 5)
Stamford — Off Cummings Park
Stratford — Short Beach Park. Fun starts at 7:00, fireworks at 9:30 p.m. (Rain Date July 5th)
West Haven – Bradley Point Park 9 p.m. (Rain date July 5)
Westport — Compo Beach at 9:15 p.m. (Rain date July 5th)

Windsor Locks — Windsor Locks Fire Department Carnival. Veteran’s Memorial Park at 9:30 p.m. (Rain Date July 12)

July 12 (Saturday)

Beacon Falls — Family Day Fireworks Celebration at Pent Road recreation complex, fireworks start at dusk.
East Hartford — Riverfest On Connecticut River. Entertainment at 4:00 p.m., Fireworks at 9:00 p.m. (Rain Date July 13)
Groton — Sailfest 2013. 9:00 p.m. Thames River Waterfront
Guilford – Guilford Fairgrounds approximate time 9:30 p.m.
