Ray Ross Art Open House at Harriman Real Estate

Art open house for Ray RossIt has been our honor and pleasure to feature a Wallingford icon, Ray Ross, on our Wallingford Inspires art wall since the start of November. He’s always on hand to photograph school sporting events, town events such as Celebrate Wallingford and the Veterans Day service, and just about any other type of goings on you can think of! As we do with all our artists, it’s time for our art open house so everyone can see a side of Ray that isn’t seen as much. Read on for details…

When: Friday, December 4th 2015

Hours: 4:00PM to 7:00PM

Where: Harriman Real Estate LLC office, 116 Center Street, Wallingford

Who’s Invited: Everyone!

Who to contact: Pat Harriman, 203-605-3873

If you’re in any of the Wallingford community groups on Facebook or are friends with him, Ray’s photos have been a staple of people’s news feeds for some time now, but they’ve usually been of subjects such as the Carini and Samaha Bowl football games, the annual Celebrate Wallingford community event, the little ghosts and goblins of Halloween or the opening of the new Bark Park. But we have been fortunate to see another side of Ray in the images currently gracing our wall, namely his landscape, nature and still life portraiture. From picturesque lighthouses and bridges, to brilliantly blooming flowers, to preening waterfowl, Ray’s artistic flair is evident in each and every lovingly crafted image.

We hope you’ll be able to join us Friday night as we pay tribute to one of the elite photographers of our town. We’ll have some light hors d’oeuvres and a wine tasting will be provided by Arnie Schloemann of Wine Shop at Home. Come down and meet Ray, enjoy his artwork, and if something resonates with you perhaps you can take a little piece of photographic heaven home with you!
