Wallingford’s Trail of Terror Gets Reanimated!

Trail of Terror, Wallingford CTAre you easily frightened? Does your heart race when you’re in unfamiliar surroundings? Do you watch scary movies with one eye closed through a tiny gap between your fingers? If so, then you may want to avoid one of the area’s most “spook”-tacular attractions this October. Or at least bring a bunch of friends.

Beginning October 1st, Wayne Barneschi once again brings his cool scare factory to life at 60 North Plains Highway and promises that there will be many new additions to the already legendary line-up of ghosts, ghouls, devils and demons he’s assembled over the years. This year, the new theme is “Gypsies and Witches”. The event’s popularity grows every year, and this year they were named to Buzzfeed’s list of 25 of the Most Popular Haunted Houses in America.

In addition to the October 1st opening date, the Trail will be open for all six weekends in October as per the following schedule:

October 7, 8, 14, 15, 21, 22, 28 & 29: Open 7 PM til 11 PM

October 9, 16, 23, & 30: Open 7 PM til 10 PM

Tickets are $15 for general admission and are available only at the Trail, or you can opt to purchase a Timed Ticket for $20 which allows you to purchase a specific time slot to avoid waiting in the notoriously long lines that form fast each night. Groups of 10 or more can purchase a Timed Ticket for $18. Tickets can be purchased at the gate, or purchase a Timed Ticket online by clicking this link. Here are some other links to check out:

Pennywise is waiting...for you!Keep in mind that the Trail can sell out fast, sometimes as early as 8 PM, so if you’re planning to buy your ticket there you should plan on arriving early to avoid missing out. Once again this year, all proceeds will benefit area charities, such as the Wallingford Emergency Shelter’s Family Center and the Martin B. Rubin Family Center, as well as other local charities, so you’re not only having a screaming good time, you’re helping worthy causes to boot. So, if you’ve never had the time (or the guts) to visit the Trail, make this the year you do it. Remember the ToT motto: “We scare, because we care!

Oh, and Shotgun John says to make sure to bring a screamer with you…he LOVES screamers!
